JACKED UP HIGHLIGHTS — July 27, 2026
Let’s see what’s Jacked Up today.
THE TRADE DEADLINE IS HERE… NOW SOMEONE DO SOMETHING
We’re just days from the MLB Trade Deadline.
Every contender says they need bullpen help.
Every seller says they’re “still evaluating.”
Enough already.
This is the week that separates teams that are serious about October from teams that are happy selling hope for next year.
Stop talking.
Start making deals.
THE DODGERS KEEP GETTING GOOD NEWS… AND BAD NEWS
Shohei Ohtani’s knee is still the biggest storyline in baseball.
The good news? He’s still expected back on the mound this season.
The bad news? The Dodgers pushed back another scheduled bullpen session because of lingering knee inflammation. Every time it looks like he’s turning the corner, something slows him down.
THE PADRES HAVE NO ROOM FOR ERROR
The Padres open a home series against the Rockies tonight.
No offense to Colorado…
These are games you have to win.
The Wild Card race isn’t going to wait while you figure things out.
If you’re a playoff team, prove it.
THE JACKED LIST

Left knee inflammation delayed another bullpen session. His return to pitching is still on hold. (MLB.com)
Shea Langeliers — Athletics
A torn meniscus could end his season. Brutal timing for both Oakland and one of its best hitters. (MLB.com)
Josh Jung — Rangers
Back on the injured list with a left calf strain. Texas keeps taking hits at the worst possible time. (MLB.com)
Spencer Arrighetti — Astros
Landed on the IL after leaving his last start with right foot nerve irritation. (MLB.com)
Harrison Bader — Giants
Still shut down with plantar fasciitis after another setback. San Francisco keeps waiting… and waiting. (MLB.com)
THE UNJACKED LIST
Kiké Hernández — Dodgers
Expected back today after recovering from an oblique strain. That’s another bat returning to an already dangerous lineup. (MLB.com)
Edwin Díaz — Dodgers
Expected to be activated tomorrow after completing his rehab assignment. Another boost for the bullpen. (MLB.com)
Matt Chapman — Giants
Finally taking batting practice again. The Giants desperately need his bat back in the lineup. (MLB.com)
Corey Seager — Rangers
Continuing baseball activities and getting closer to a rehab assignment. Texas can’t get him back soon enough. (MLB.com)
THE JACKED UP TAKE OF THE DAY
The Jacked up thing about trade deadline week?
Every general manager suddenly becomes a poker player.
Nobody tells the truth.
Nobody admits they’re desperate.
Then somebody overpays for a reliever on Thursday afternoon and acts like it was the plan all along.
That’s baseball.
GAMES TO WATCH
Mariners at Dodgers — Can L.A. keep rolling while managing Ohtani’s knee? (Any & All Sports)
Rockies at Padres — A series San Diego simply has to win. (Any & All Sports)

We’ll see what’s Jacked Up tomorrow.
