JACKED UP HIGHLIGHTS — July 24, 2026

Let’s see what’s Jacked Up today.

THE TRADE DEADLINE IS ABOUT TO GET STUPID

We’re less than a week from the MLB Trade Deadline, and this is where front offices start lying to everyone.

Every contender says they’re “comfortable with the roster.”

Every seller says they’re “not shopping anyone.”

Then somebody wakes up next Thursday wearing a different uniform.

The biggest name everyone is circling is Tarik Skubal.

Here’s the Jacked Up part…

The Tigers are still hanging around the playoff race, yet everyone keeps acting like Detroit should trade one of the best pitchers in baseball. Unless someone offers an absolutely ridiculous package, why would you? Ace pitchers don’t grow on trees.

DODGERS AT METS

If baseball had a featured attraction tonight, this is it.

Shohei Ohtani is back in the lineup.

His knee is still something the Dodgers are managing carefully, but every game he plays means one step closer to his expected return to the mound later this season.

The Dodgers have survived without him pitching.

Imagine what they become if he comes back healthy.

That’s exactly why the rest of the National League should be nervous.

PADRES… IT’S TIME

The Padres head into Miami tonight.

No more All-Star break.

No more “there’s plenty of baseball left.”

If you’re serious about October, these are the games you have to win.

The bullpen has been Jacked Up for weeks.

Now it’s time to prove the break actually fixed something.

THE YANKEES KEEP FINDING A WAY

Aaron Judge has missed significant time.

The offense hasn’t exactly terrified anybody.

And somehow…

The Yankees are still right in the middle of the race because their pitching staff refuses to collapse.

That’s what good teams do.

They survive when their stars don’t.

THE JACKED LIST

Shohei Ohtani — Dodgers Still managing his left knee while working toward an August return to the mound. The bat is back. The arm isn’t…yet.

Ronald Acuña Jr. — Braves Still working back from a hamstring injury. Atlanta wants him back, but rushing your franchise player is how seasons get Jacked Up.

Corey Seager — Rangers Still sidelined with a back injury. Texas needs its captain back before the Wild Card race gets away from them.

Jordan Montgomery — Rangers Still working through his rehab from an elbow injury and inching closer to returning.

THE UNJACKED LIST

Ketel Marte — Diamondbacks Expected back today after dealing with a back issue. Arizona gets one of its biggest bats back exactly when it needs him.

Jac Caglianone — Royals Also expected back tonight. Kansas City could use every bit of offense it can find.

THE JACKED UP TAKE OF THE DAY

The most Jacked Up thing in baseball isn’t an injury.

It’s pretending you’re “not selling.”

Every July we hear the same thing from general managers.

“We’re evaluating.”

“We like our club.”

“We’re exploring options.”

Translation:

“We’re answering every phone call.”

By next week somebody’s fan base is going to lose its mind.

GAMES TO WATCH TONIGHT

Dodgers at Mets — Baseball’s marquee matchup.

Yankees at Phillies — Two playoff-caliber teams trying to prove they belong in October.

Padres at Marlins — San Diego needs wins, not excuses.
