JACKED UP HIGHLIGHTS — July 25, 2026
Let’s see what’s Jacked Up today.
THE TRADE DEADLINE IS OFFICIALLY LYING SEASON
We’re days away from the MLB Trade Deadline, and every front office is reading from the same script.
“We’re evaluating.”
“We’re comfortable with our roster.”
“We’re not actively shopping anyone.”
Translation?
Everybody’s on the phone.
This is the week where contenders panic, sellers cash in, and one blockbuster trade changes the entire playoff picture.
That’s not Jacked Up.
Pretending nobody’s available is.
THE GIANTS JUST GOT MORE JACKED UP
The Giants can’t seem to catch a break.
Outfielder Harrison Bader has suffered another setback in his recovery and has stopped all baseball activities. There isn’t even a timetable for a rehab assignment anymore. San Francisco was hoping to get healthier heading toward the trade deadline. Instead, they’re getting thinner.
If the Giants were thinking they could stand pat…
That just became a lot harder.
THE PADRES HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY
The Padres continue their series in Miami.
This isn’t about beating the Marlins.
It’s about beating the teams you’re supposed to beat.
Want to play in October?
Win these games.
No excuses.
THE YANKEES REMIND EVERYONE PITCHING STILL WINS
The Yankees beat Philadelphia 1-0 behind another dominant outing from Cam Schlittler, who struck out 12 over 7.1 innings. While everyone talks about home runs, the Yankees keep proving that elite pitching can still carry a team through the dog days of summer.
THE JACKED LIST
Harrison Bader — Giants
Recovery from plantar fasciitis has hit another setback. Baseball activities have stopped, and there’s no rehab assignment in sight.
Matt Chapman — Giants
Still sidelined with an abdominal injury as San Francisco waits for one of its biggest bats to return.
Corey Seager — Rangers
Back injury continues to keep him out while Texas tries to stay in the playoff race.
Lucas Giolito — Padres
Still working back from an elbow injury. San Diego could use another healthy arm in a hurry.
Jordan Montgomery — Rangers
Still rehabbing his elbow and getting closer to returning to the rotation.
THE UNJACKED LIST
Josh Jung — Rangers
Trending toward returning after being listed as probable with a calf injury. Texas needs the offense.
J.P. Crawford — Mariners
Also listed as probable after dealing with a wrist injury. Seattle gets an important piece back if he plays.
THE JACKED UP TAKE OF THE DAY
The most dangerous team at the trade deadline isn’t the one making headlines.
It’s the team nobody expects.
Every year one general manager decides to shove all his chips into the middle of the table.
Those are the moves that win championships.
Playing it safe in late July?
That’s usually how your season ends in October.
GAMES TO WATCH
Padres at Marlins — Time to take care of business.
Yankees vs. Phillies — Can New York keep riding its pitching?
Keep an eye on the trade market — The biggest news today may not happen on the field.
We’ll see what’s Jacked Up tomorrow.
