This is the one that hurts to watch because we genuinely love both of these teams.
Norway has been the best story of this entire tournament. They knocked out Brazil — BRAZIL — with Erling Haaland being an absolute problem for every defense he’s faced. Nobody gave them a shot and they’ve just kept winning.
England has been steady, physical, and clinical. They beat Mexico 3-2 in a dogfight and have looked like a team that believes they can go all the way.
We wish they could both win today. We genuinely do. But somebody has to go home and that’s just the Jacked Up nature of knockout football (soccer?).
England is favored at 49.7% win probability, Norway at 24.8%, with a draw at 25.5%.
Whoever wins faces France in the semifinals. Both teams deserve to be there. Only one gets the chance.

Also TODAY — Argentina vs Switzerland at 6pm PDT
Argentina is favored at 56.9% to beat Switzerland. Messi and Argentina have been on a mission this tournament. Switzerland has been scrappy but this feels like Argentina’s to lose.
⚾ MLB — PADRES LOSE TO TORONTO 5-3
The Padres dropped game 1 of the Toronto series 5-3 last night at Petco Park. They’re now 5.5 games out of the wild card. Every game at Petco matters from here on out.
And here’s the real Jacked Up situation — the Padres bullpen is in shambles. Their top right-handers are all out. Randy Vasquez still recovering from his ankle/fainting episode. Lucas Giolito still on the IL with elbow inflammation. The rotation is thin and the bullpen behind it is even thinner. Every close game feels like a ticking time bomb right now.
The Blue Jays came in hot and showed why — Toronto has been one of the better teams in baseball lately. Game 2 is TONIGHT at 5:40pm PDT at Petco. The Padres need this one badly.
Arizona 9, Dodgers 3
The Diamondbacks absolutely handled the Dodgers 9-3 last night. Arizona keeps winning despite being destroyed by injuries all week. The Dodgers meanwhile have dropped two in a row and are quietly a little jacked up.
Chicago White Sox 14, Athletics 1
The White Sox — yes THOSE White Sox, one of the worst teams in baseball — dropped 14 runs on Oakland. 14-1. The Athletics have now given up 14 and 13 runs in back to back games this week. Jacked Up level 100.
Yankees 5, Washington 3
New York bounced back with a 5-3 win over the Nationals. The Yankees needed that one.
Baltimore 5, Kansas City 3
The Orioles handled the Royals 5-3. Baltimore continues to be one of the more consistent teams in the AL.
Tampa Bay 7, Seattle 2
The Rays beat the Mariners 7-2. Seattle without Randy Arozarena continues to struggle.
Texas 7, Houston 3
The Rangers beat the Astros 7-3. Houston is having a rough stretch.
Colorado 4, San Francisco 3
The Rockies beat the Giants 4-3. Colorado has quietly beaten the Dodgers and Giants both this week. Jacked Up.
