Padres Finally Get UnJacked and Win, Norway Stuns Brazil, England Survives Mexico — Jacked Up Highlights July 6

The Padres Won. Finally. After an 8-Game Losing Streak.
After getting their hearts ripped out twice in a row — including that catastrophic 6-0 lead that turned into a 12-7 loss — the San Diego Padres came back Sunday and beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 5-2.
Nobody fainted. We’re making progress.
The Friars took the series finale and gave Padres fans across San Diego a brief moment of cardiovascular relief. They’re still 14 games back in the NL West but 4 out of the wild card, so the season isn’t over. It’s just… heavily jacked.

World Cup Round of 16 — Two Giants Go Down
Sunday was an absolute banger in the World Cup.
Norway 2, Brazil 1
Nobody saw this coming. Norway walked into Brazil’s house and walked out with a Round of 16 victory. Brazil — five-time World Cup champions, one of the tournament favorites — is going home. Norway striker Erling Haaland is a problem and England is going to have to deal with him next.
England 3, Mexico 2
England survived a dogfight with Mexico to advance 3-2. Mexico pushed hard on home soil with the crowd behind them but England held on. It wasn’t pretty but a win is a win.
Norway and England meet in the quarterfinals on July 11 — England is the big favorite at 50% win probability, Norway at 23.5%. Should be a good one.
USA vs Belgium — TODAY at 5pm PDT
This is the one we’ve been waiting for.
The USMNT faces Belgium today at 5:00 PM Pacific at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara. USA comes in at 38.3% win probability, Belgium at 33.9%, with a draw at 27.8% — so this is genuinely up for grabs.
Now about Florian Valot — the US midfielder picked up a red card in the last match which should have triggered an automatic suspension for today’s game. FIFA reviewed the incident and suspended the ban, meaning Valot is cleared to play.
That is UnJacked in the best possible way. The US needs every player available heading into a knockout round match against Belgium.
