Spain vs Argentina World Cup Final Set, Messi Beats England, MLB Second Half Starts Friday — Jacked Up Highlights July 15
Let’s see what’s Jacked Up or UnJacked today.
⚽ THE WORLD CUP FINAL IS SET — SPAIN vs ARGENTINA
We have our final.
Spain 2, France 0 — Yesterday
Spain absolutely dismantled France 2-0 in the first semifinal on Tuesday. France came in as the favorite and got completely handled. Spain has been the most complete team in this tournament and they proved it against one of the best squads in the world. La Roja are in the World Cup Final.
Argentina 2, England 1 — TODAY — Stoppage Time
This one is going to sting for England fans for a long time.
England scored early in the second half to go up 1-0 and then executed one of the most Jacked Up tactical decisions in recent World Cup memory — they pulled every single player behind the ball and sat so deep in defense that it was ridiculous. England held on. 1-0. 70 minutes. 75 minutes. 80 minutes. 85 minutes.
Here’s the thing though — England was getting absolutely battered. Argentina had so many chances that honestly the score could have been 6-1. The strategy of parking the bus and hoping for the best against Messi and Argentina was Jacked Up from the start and everyone watching knew it.
Then the 85th minute came. Argentina equalized. 1-1.
And in stoppage time — Argentina scored again. 2-1. Final.
England’s defensive strategy didn’t just fail. It failed spectacularly while also making for a miserable 40 minutes of football. You can’t invite that much pressure against Argentina and expect it to hold. You just can’t.
Lionel Messi advances to another World Cup Final. He Is The Man.
THE WORLD CUP FINAL

Spain 41.4% · Argentina 27.3% · Draw 31.3%

Third Place Match: France vs England — Saturday July 18 at 2pm PDT. France favored at 47.7%.
⚾ MLB — ALL-STAR GAME RECAP
The American League beat the National League 4-0 in the All-Star Game last night in Philadelphia. The AL has now won 9 of the last 10 Midsummer Classics. The NL just cannot get it together in this game. Four shutout innings from AL starters kept the NL completely quiet.
The second half starts FRIDAY.
Every team gets a clean slate. Here’s what matters heading into the second half:
Padres — 3.5 games out of the wild card. Bullpen still Jacked Up but they have momentum from winning two straight before the break. Open at Kansas City on Friday at 5:10pm PDT.
Dodgers — Still on top of the NL West but Ohtani’s knee situation bears watching. Open at Yankee Stadium on Friday — one of the best matchups of opening weekend.
Yankees — Aaron Judge coming back from a rib injury. Giancarlo Stanton still a question mark. They host the Dodgers starting Friday at 4:05pm PDT.
Rangers — Corey Seager still on the IL. Jordan Montgomery expected back after the break. Texas has been inconsistent but Montgomery returning could change things.
Braves — Ronald Acuña Jr. expected to begin a rehab assignment. If he comes back healthy the Braves become a completely different team in the second half.
